Article 1 – Identity of the Business

Article 2 – Applicability

• These general terms and conditions apply to all offers made by KNOOPZ and to every distance contract entered into between KNOOPZ and the consumer.

• Before a contract is concluded, these general terms and conditions will be made available to the consumer electronically so that they can be easily saved and consulted later.

• Deviations from these general terms and conditions are valid only if they have been agreed upon in advance, in writing or electronically, between KNOOPZ and the consumer.

Article 3 – Offers and Orders

• If an offer has a limited validity period or is subject to certain conditions, this will be clearly stated in the offer.

• KNOOPZ strives to provide as complete and accurate a description as possible of the products offered. Product photos and colors are displayed as realistically as possible. Minor variations in color or material may occur due to monitor settings or manual finishing. This does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.

• Obvious errors or mistakes in the offer are not binding on KNOOPZ.

Article 4 – Prices and Payment

• All prices on the website are listed in euros (€). Prices include VAT, unless KNOOPZ avails itself of an applicable VAT exemption, such as the Small Business Scheme (KOR). Any shipping costs are not included, unless otherwise stated.

• Any shipping costs are clearly displayed before the consumer finalizes the order.

• Payments are made using the payment methods offered on the KNOOPZ website.

• The consumer is responsible for correctly entering the payment details and must notify KNOOPZ of any inaccuracies as soon as possible.

Article 5 – Delivery and Fulfillment

• KNOOPZ handles and processes every order with the utmost care.

• Orders are delivered to the address provided by the consumer during the ordering process.

• KNOOPZ strives to deliver orders as quickly as possible, no later than within 30 days, unless a different delivery period has been agreed upon. In the event of a delay, the consumer will be informed in a timely manner. The consumer's statutory rights in the event of late delivery remain in effect.

• The risk of damage or loss of the product remains with KNOOPZ until the product is received by the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer, who is not the carrier.

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)

• When purchasing products through the KNOOPZ online store, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the product without providing a reason.

• During the cooling-off period, the consumer must handle the product and its packaging with care. The product may be inspected and tried on to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functionality, just as would be possible in a physical store.

• If the consumer wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal, KNOOPZ must be notified within the 14-day cooling-off period. The product must then be returned within 14 days of this notification. If the product has been used beyond what is necessary to evaluate it, KNOOPZ may charge for any resulting loss in value.

• The direct costs of returning the item are the responsibility of the consumer, provided that this has been clearly communicated in advance. In the case of an incorrectly delivered or defective product for which KNOOPZ is legally responsible, KNOOPZ will cover the necessary return costs.

• KNOOPZ will refund the purchase price, including any standard shipping costs for the original delivery, no later than 14 days after receiving notice of cancellation. KNOOPZ may delay the refund until the product has been received or the consumer has provided proof that the product has been returned, whichever occurs first. The refund will be issued via the same payment method used for the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.

Article 7 – Conformity, Warranty, and Maintenance

• KNOOPZ warrants that the products offered comply with the agreement, the stated product description, and the legal requirements applicable to the products. The consumer retains all rights arising from the statutory warranty.

• Normal wear and tear and damage resulting from misuse, improper cleaning, or failure to follow maintenance instructions are not covered by the warranty, unless such damage is the result of a defect for which KNOOPZ is legally responsible. Careful maintenance is important for products featuring hand-sewn vintage buttons.

• We ask customers to report any damage or incorrectly delivered products, preferably within 14 days of receipt, via [email protected], including clear photos if possible. This does not affect the consumer's statutory warranty rights.

Article 8 – Complaints Procedure

• KNOOPZ handles complaints carefully and in accordance with the complaints procedure made available on the website.

• Complaints regarding orders or products may be submitted via [email protected] within a reasonable period of time after discovery. We ask customers to describe their complaint as clearly as possible so that it can be properly assessed.

• KNOOPZ will respond to submitted complaints within 14 days of receipt. If a complaint requires more time to resolve, the consumer will receive a confirmation of receipt within this period, indicating how the matter will be handled.

Article 9 – Intellectual Property

• The intellectual property rights to the trade name KNOOPZ, the logo, the website, product photos, and texts are held by KNOOPZ V.O.F., to the extent that these rights belong to KNOOPZ.

• It is not permitted to copy, publish, or use protected images, logos, or texts for commercial purposes without prior permission from KNOOPZ, unless permitted by law.

Article 10 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• Agreements between KNOOPZ and the consumer are governed by Dutch law. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply under applicable international rules.

• Disputes between KNOOPZ and the consumer shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction under the law.
